According to some estimates there are more than 1 million houses in the wrong council tax band.
You could be paying hundreds of pounds too much Council Tax every year. If your property is in the wrong band then we can get your bill lowered. We can even get this backdated, so you could get a huge refund.
When the Council tax bands were created in 1991 a lot of mistakes were made. Some are in too high a band and some are in too low a band. We offer a free investigation to find out which band your property should be in.
We will only challenge your Council Tax banding if we believe we can get your bill lowered. If there’s a chance of your bill going up then we won’t contact your Council.
Check your band
The first step is to compare your property with your neighbours. You can do this on one of the websites below. Simply enter your postcode. If any houses similar to yours are in a lower band (A’s lowest, H is highest) we may be able to save you money.
What We Do
We will thoroughly investigate your property to find out which band it should be in. If we find that you are in too high a band then we will collect all the evidence and challenge your local Valuation Office. If we get your bill lowered then we could save you hundreds of pounds every year.
Once we succeed in reducing your council tax band we will then make a claim to the Council requesting a full refund of all your overpaid tax. Our charges are 25% + VAT of any refund we can get you. If we can’t get you a refund we won’t charge you a penny!
We have designed our service so that there is no risk to you. If we think there’s even a small chance of your property going up a band then we won’t contact the Council.
