As you may be aware, the banks recently won a case in the Supreme Court against the Office of Fair Trading. This means that we are not able to pursue any cases under the legislation we were hoping to use.
However, there may be different legal avenues through which these charges may be challenged. We are therefore suggesting that, should you have any bank charges you can submit your details, and we will log you on our system. We will then notify you if we discover a new process by which we can proceed with your case.
If you are in financial hardship, it is still possible to make a claim against your unfair charges by going through the Financial Ombudsman Service. Although this is not something we offer as a company, you can do it yourself. You can find information about this by clicking the link http://www.financialombudsmanservice.org.uk/faq/bank-charges.html.
Remember that you can still claim for mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) or unfair credit card charges. If you’ve got a loan or credit card then there is a good chance that you also have a PPI policy and this may well have been mis-sold. This area was not affected by the Supreme Court’s ruling and so we are able to make a claim against any PPI policy you believe to have been mis-sold.
We are having tremendous success in claiming back bank charges and in particular mis-sold PPI. Our average refund is over £2,000 and our highest is over £20,000. PPI is designed to cover your payments for a loan or credit card and has been widely criticised by the Financial Services Authority and the Office of Fair Trading. PPI has been extensively mis-sold and you might not even be aware you have it. Apply to Claim Back Charges Back below.
